Welcome to the Great Class of 1971 and our 50th Reunion Yearbook
We invite you to browse through the first 92 pages online, starting with the letters of welcome from President Eisgruber and our leaders, the roster of class officers, our In Memoriam pages, and more than two dozen fully illustrated stories and sidebars penned by classmates.
While we hoped to have the physical Yearbook in everyone’s hands by now, production delays mean the full, 600-page yearbook won’t be mailed until July.
What you won’t see for now is the Class Directory section with essays and photos from more than 400 classmates. To protect everyone’s privacy (including addresses and phone numbers), you will have to log onto our password-protected Class website princeton71.org to see the essays when they are posted. They are not there now, but we’ll let you know when they are.
We know you’ll enjoy the feature stories, which run the gamut from the dawn of coeducation and the challenge of being Black at Princeton to antiwar protests and keeping the faith at Princeton, plus a behind-the-scenes look at the Board of Trustees, an ode to our favorite professors, remembrances of the Clubs, Stevenson Hall and Wilson College, and some hilarious yarns about our rollicking Reunions parties, campus jobs and the sporting life.
A word to the wise: Don’t try to open the PDFs and read them only on a smartphone. That will be endlessly frustrating. The best approach is to open them on a laptop, tablet or desktop computer. You can download and save the PDFs and print them if you wish to read at your leisure.
Read on.
