San Diego Mini-Reunion — Feb 3-4 — Time to plan your trip!
Geoff Smith 71, Vice President - 11/3/2023

It’s time to get serious about getting yourself to San Diego for the 2024 version of the Class of ‘71 San Diego gathering that has been happening for nearly 25 years. As advertised on the Class website, the coming year’s event will happen on Saturday, February 3 and Sunday, February 4th, 2024, a good time of year to escape the winter cold for the mild winters of the Southwest corner of the country. Last year’s attendance of 55 classmates and spouses set an event record.

The plan for this year will be a Saturday afternoon and evening casual cocktail and dinner party at the Smith’s home in Carlsbad. Sunday’s schedule will include an optional morning visit to the San Diego waterfront to tour the historic ships docked there, followed by a boat cruise of the San Diego harbor and a light lunch. Sunday evening our traditional farewell dinner and margaritas will be held at Tony’s Jacal in Solana Beach.

The Saturday party is hosted and Sunday’s waterfront visit and dinner will be paid for individually by attendees at the time, but we need to know if you are coming for planning purposes. If enough folks from out of town are planning to attend and can inform us early enough, we can obtain a block of discounted rooms at a nearby hotel.

So make your travel plans and let me know that you are planning to attend via email at jefes2rs@gmail.com.
